I was given the Holan 120ml Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier / Aroma Diffuser to review and share my thoughts on this. Regardless anything I share about it is my honest opinion.
You may know by now my love for essential oils and diffusers. I enjoy having them diffusing all day around me for various reasons. This post is about a special little diffuser, the one I am going to talk about is the Holan diffuser.

I opened the Holan diffuser box and pulled out the diffuser, a measuring cup, plug and little instruction booklet. Everything was tightly packed so there was no sliding around or banging around of the diffuser.

I first noticed the smooth slick shape of the main body it. It’s very elegant and can fit with any decor with out sticking out. It came apart with a slight twist which was tight at first but after a few times it did get a little easier that will help make for easy for filling. There is a line on the outside for max filling. I like having the measuring cup it makes filling it so much easier.

First thoughts

The night I opened this was seafood night so the house did have an odor in it. So I added some of DoTerra’s Cleansing blend. I started this about 9ish to help clean up the air in the house. I put it with the green light, this setting does it in 30 second spurts meaning 30 seconds of diffusing then 30 seconds not. At first I wasn’t sure about this setting then I woke up the next morning and it was still going. That is over 12 hours this is with it full to the line.

I would think the time would depend on how much water you put in. I don’t think I would put it full much because I tend to diffuse either wake up type blends or sleepy-time type blends. But I do like how it goes for a while so during school time I can keep something to help keep everyone motivated to study and things. Maybe having the Holan diffuser filled with a blend to keep critters out of the house would be a good idea on warm days when people are running in and out of the house.

If you put it on with the red light it is a content stream and goes for half the time. Which does help with some of the blends that you may not want to last all day.
One thing that I found out that didn’t know about it is that it changes colors. OK I knew it stayed on different colors based on the what color you set but it also automatically changes too, I don’t know if I am explain it right so Here is a little video I posted on Instagram.

This is totally awesome, I was totally stuck watching it for like 10 minutes. Even the doggies liked watching it.

Thoughts after a few days

After a few days of using this with different water levels and different blends I have found I totally love the Holan diffuser. I love how long it goes, the colors and the smooth mist. It also makes a nice night light with just being on the white, it helps with our house since it is really dark.

I noticed that the Holan diffuser is really quiet, you forget that it is on because you can’t hear it. Once it is out of water it will turn itself off so you don’t need to remember to check on it. With it quiet I tend to forget things like turning it off, with the auto shut off it helps so much.

Something to think about, using ordinary tap water, I have found that using really hard water tends to make them not work right after a while. It can create a lot of scale and calcium build up.  I usually use distilled water or filtered water at the very least when I am out of the distilled water.  (this was not with this particular diffuser, but I fear the build up would happen again so I don’t use tap anymore)

Ok now to some information about the diffuser itself.

Features:
No filters required
Whisper-quiet operation
Auto shutoff for safety
Frosted design,soft and colorful lighting
Helps with dry, chapped skin, chapped lips and dry sinuses
Works with ordinary tap water, plus 2 to 3 drops of essential oil
